At Cleartone Telecoms we are committed to reducing our carbon footprint. The Carbon Reduction Plan outlines our strategy to minimise greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) across our operations, supply chain and product lifecycle. By sharing this plan, we aim to demonstrate transparency and accountability in our environmental efforts.
Scope and Objectives:
This plan addresses Scope 1 (direct emissions), Scope 2 (indirect emissions from purchased energy), and Scope 3 (other indirect emissions, supply chain and product use) emissions. Our goal is to achieve a 40% reduction in carbon emissions by 2035 compared to our 2025 baseline, with a longer term goal of reaching net-zero emissions by 2050.
Baseline Emissions:
To establish a starting point, we conducted a carbon footprint assessment for 2025:
Scope 1: 10t CO2e (company vehicles)
Scope 2: 103t CO2e (purchased energy)
Scope 3: (estimated) 1500t CO2e (supply chain, transportation)
Total 1613t CO2e
Key Strategies and Actions:
Timeline: Conduct supplier audits from 2030 – The main obstacle to achieving our goal is whilst
we source most of our components locally, some complex components are currently only
manufactured in China. Once the capability to locally produce is met we will switch suppliers to
reduce our carbon footprint.
3) Employee and Community Engagement
Action: Invest in electric vehicles to reduce emissions and support local carbon offset projects
Impact: Reduce Scope 1 emissions and contribute to reducing Scope 3 emissions
Timeline: 2030 – invest in electric vehicles. 2035 support local carbon offset projects – scale
dependant on our Scope 3 emissions at the time.
Monitoring and Reporting:
From 2030 we plan to publish an annual report detailing our progress. We will regularly review
and update this plan to incorporate new technologies and industry best practices.
